We are very excited to have launched our newest project, Love Music Junior Choir, for up to 200 children aged 8-12 from all across Edinburgh. Junior Choir started in September 2017, and will rehearse and perform at Edinburgh’s iconic Usher Hall after school during term times, meeting once a week for 8 week terms.
This is Love Music’s second choir produced in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council and Usher Hall. It receives funding from The Scottish Government’s Youth Music Initiative through Creative Scotland, The D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust, Baillie Gifford, and many generous individuals.
Junior Choir will sing a diverse range of music from across the world in different languages, especially arranged by our director, award-winning composer and renowned educationalist Stephen Deazley, accompanied by jazz legend Dave Milligan.
We aim to see our choir members grow in confidence, work together as a team and have a lot of fun!
No experience is needed, singers don’t need to have great singing voices, and there are no auditions – all they need to bring is enthusiasm! The rehearsals will be relaxed and fun.

We are still fundraising!
We believe in providing inspirational, inclusive, accessible experiences for our communities and young people. As we are keeping choir membership fees low, and offering free places to those who can’t afford to pay, fee income won’t cover the full costs of the project. If you would like to support us to deliver accessible, inspiring, creative musical experiences for up to 200 8-12 year olds in Edinburgh, enriching their lives and improving their well-being and confidence, please make a donation via our fundraising website:
